Pinkeye?

As many of our friends & family know...our youngest daughter Madysen is the epitome of a "girly-girl"! She loves dresses, tutu's, hair bows and pretty much anything that sparkles! lol Anyhow...on Sunday morning we did our usual and got ready for church (which starts at 8am) so we have to get the girls up early. If you read the post before this, you know that we had quite a fun-filled weekend and the girls stayed up late playing with their cousins & their Nana on Friday & Saturday...so of course...Sunday morning they were very tired. Anyhow, we went to church and my sister Chrystel said that Madysen looked like she had Pinkeye and I told her that she was just tired from the weekend. Well, later on at church my mom was talking to Mady and told me that she thought Mady had Pinkeye too, but again I said she probably does have a cold, but I think she's just tired. Anyhow, I asked Mady to come over so I could look at her eyes and this is how our little conversation went.

MOMMY: "Mady, come over here...let me look at your eyes."
Madysen, who is twirling around in the foyer, walks over.

MOMMY: "Hmm...I think you might have Pinkeye Mady"
Mady's eyes open wide and she gasps!
MADYSEN: "Pinkeye?!!"
Mady then has a huge smile on her face.
MADYSEN: "Oh Mommy, I LOVE 'Pink Eyes'!!"

HAHAHA...That's definitely Madysen for you! lol I told my husband and the rest of our family and we just couldn't stop laughing!! It's moments like this that make you wish they could stay young forever. Ü

Family Picnic

It was another great weekend this past Friday & Saturday. Our brother Cheeku's family came down to visit for the weekend and I suggested we all go on a picnic on Saturday. We originally wanted to go to the beach, but considering the extra amount of trouble lugging things across the sand and getting sand everywhere...we opted for the park instead. lol It's a good thing we did, because it was a little breezy and I'm sure if we went to the beach...there would've been a full wind blowing! Anyhow, we headed over to the park with sandwiches, snacks & goodies and we had a great time relaxing, eating, playing Frisbee, feeding the ducks and watching the kids play. After several hours we packed up and headed back home. The kids were quite tired and we all had a wonderful time. Later that day, we did some shopping with Nana (Fred's mom) and she was nice enough to babysit the kids that evening while we went out to the movies. She loves watching her grandkids...especially since she doesn't have them all together at the same time very often. The movie was great and by the time we got home...we were exhausted! I ♥ Photoshop!

If anyone of you know me...you know that I absolutely LOVE taking photographs and working on photoshop! My ultimate goal is to be a professional family/wedding photographer and I plan on taking some courses on it soon! But in the mean time, I love playing with photoshop & learning to take better photos...I'm "self-taught" and granted I'm still learning and reading online tutorials, I think I've done a pretty good job so far!! lol I just finished working on that photo collage up there on my blog title and I SUPER love it!!! I hope you guys do too!! Ü

Aaliyah's 1st Birthday & Our Weekend in SB

We spent this past weekend of ours celebrating our niece's 1st birthday in San Bernardino. It was a great weekend! To start off, our wonderful cousins Ashley & Ahnessa came into town on Thursday to visit us and to hang out...and let me tell you...there is always a guaranteed LAUGH with them! lol We love having them around and our girls especially love their company.

We left for San B. on Friday after Fred got off work and checked into our hotel. After stopping by our sister-in-law Tiffany's house, we went back to the hotel and baked cupcakes for the party the next day. Aaliyah's party was great and even though it was a bit windy that day, we enjoyed ourselves and the party went off without a hitch! :0) Aaliyah was so cute when she first saw her decorations and all of the party details. During the party, she did a little "taupou" number and looked adorable in her puletasi. :0) Her cake was beautiful too...it matched her "princess" theme perfectly. Here are a few pictures from Aaliyah's 1st birthday party. We love you Aaliyah...hope you had a great time at your party!! Ü P.S. I made the invites too and it turned out so cute!

The Best Husband Ever

So, I just had to write a little something about this awesome husband of mine. He called in from work today because he had a backache ;0) and it was nice to spend the day with him and our girls...just relaxing and doing things around the house. I couldn't have asked for a better husband, companion, father and friend. Fred is truly a wonderful person. We've been together since 2003 and he has never changed from the hard-working, sweet and honest man that I first met him to be. He is absolutely devoted to his family, to church and in all the things he does! He spoils me (which is a plus LMBO) and his girls especially (even though he says that he doesn't)...but he never forgets to teach them correct values & principles and to raise them with the standards that we have been taught in church and growing up. Thanks for everything that you do hon...we LOVE you!!

A Very Happy Easter Ü

This weekend we celebrated Easter and it was awesome! We attended church, as usual, and it was wonderful to hear and participate in the lessons and testimonies that were born. Our girls and their cousin Hadyn got new Easter outfits from their aunty Seli the week before and they looked so adorable on Sunday!

After church we had dinner at mom's house and of course she outdid herself making lamb stir-fry, pork chops, chicken, fish, salads and much more....it was delicious! We hid eggs outside after dinner and the kids had such a fun time searching for them. Their baskets were overflowing with eggs & candy by the time they were done! We had planned to visit some of our other family and friends, but we ended up not have any time to do so. After the egg hunt we enjoyed the company of our family and had a relaxing time hanging out.

On Saturday, we attended our ward Primary Easter activity. Fred had to work and so he stayed behind...we missed him though! :0) We played games, did crafts, bbq'd hot dogs and of course, had an Easter egg hunt. The egg hunt was divided into several groups by age so that all of the kids would have a fair chance at retrieving eggs. We brought our niece Rae'lani with us and although she was positive that she "wasn't going to find eggs" lol...I reassured her that it would be fun and that she didn't need to be shy. lol Needless to say, Rae'lani and Madysen had fun gathering eggs together in their group. Mady was even upset that she didn't have enough and was adamant that she HAD to find more! lol Sariah returned from the egg hunt with her group and had a basket of about 16 eggs. And of course, as sweet as she is, she shared a few with her little sister and her cousin Rae'lani. Our nephew Hadyn NEVER has a problem when it comes to "competing" and had no problem at all getting as many eggs as he could too! The activity was a great success and by the time we left, the children were worn-out...but happy! Ü

As we celebrated Easter this weekend, aside from the fun and egg hunts, we celebrate and remember the resurrection of our Savior, Jesus Christ. The First Presidency of the church said in their Easter Message:

"At this Easter season of hope and renewal we testify of the glorious reality of the atonement and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. The empty tomb brought comforting assurance and provided the answer to the question of Job, “If a man die, shall he live again?” (Job 14:14).

Because of the Savior’s resurrection we will overcome death and become the beneficiaries of His mercy and grace. In a world of trouble and uncertainty, His peace fills our hearts and eases our minds. Jesus is in very deed “the way, the truth, and the life” (John 14:6).

We give our sure witness that Jesus is the Christ. Though He was crucified, He rose triumphant from the tomb to our everlasting blessing and benefit. To each member of the human family He stands as our Advocate, our Savior, and our Friend."

Our Very Own Scholar!

Today, Sariah won her 2nd Bulldog Pride Award and she was 1 out of only 6 kids in her whole class to receive it! This is Sariah's 1st year at this school and although she misses her old school at times, she has come to like her new school and has still managed to stay at the top of her class. Since kindergarten, Sariah has won awards at every assembly that her school's have had and we are tremendously proud of her! Her teachers are very proud of her as well and are amazed at her level of learning and maturity. Sariah has also been nominated by her teacher to be tested for both the GATE program (Gifted And Talented Education) as well as the EXCEL classes. Whatever the results may be, we will always be proud of her and of all the things she has accomplished. Mommy & Daddy and your whole family love you Sariah and your little sister Madysen is following right behind you! Ü Keep up the awesome work sweetheart!!
